Rabbi Forshlager’s Kever

Rav Forshlager is buried in the historic B’nai Israel Cemetery in Northeast Baltimore City. The exact address is 3701 Southern Ave, Baltimore, Maryland 21206. Click here for directions from Google

The cemetery is managed by B’nai Israel Congregation of downtown Baltimore a historic synagogue where Rav Forshlager used to teach Torah classes. For more information about B’nai Israel Congregation please visit their website.

The Cemetery is open during daylight hours except on Shabbat and major Jewish holidays. For the upcoming Yahrtzeit on November 16 the Cemetery will be open all night on Saturday night November 16 and until 8:00 pm on Sunday November 17.

The building above is the entrance to the cemetery. When you arrive, you can drive or walk through the arched entranceway to get to the cemetery itself.

Directions to the Kever: Enter through the entrance building. walk straight to the first building inside the gates. This is the chapel. Turn left at the chapel. Take the second right. The Kever is the first by the road around 12 rows down on the left side.
